We invite you to join us to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Australia’s oldest rural press club, celebrating the rich traditions of the Farm Writers’ and Broadcasters’ Society, the Farm Writers’ Association of New South Wales and, now the New South Wales Rural Press Club.
Australia’s finest rural media disruptors, the Betoota Advocate's Errol Parker (Editor-at-large) and Clancy Overell (Editor), fearlessly tell the news more Australians want to know. Shooting straight (from the hip), they will provide a searing review of the state of the nation at NSW rural journalism’s night of nights.
We’re also going to hear from 2025 AgriFutures Rural Woman of the Year, Carol Mudford. A shearer and a nurse from Dubbo NSW, Carol has combined both careers to create www.shedway.org.au as a national charity for suicide prevention in the shearing industry. Since kicking off as a simple Facebook page, sHedway has grown to a national team of Champions and delivered over 160 events and workshops across Australia and also NZ.
Event dress code: black tie. Includes substantial canapes and drinks.
